The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!
They have a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy, on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox or at Good Garden. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception.
There is no registration for these activities as they are first come, first served. An announcement will be made 5 mins before each programme and the first XX number of children in the queue will get to enjoy the programme (XX refers to the age-specified & capacity of the programme, ie Little Green Thumbs is for the first 20 children from 2 – 4 years old).
There will be no need to pre-register on website for entry into The Artground. Parents and carers will just need to register on portable tablets on site.
28th July, Saturday
- 10.30am - A Little Here, A Little There by The Kueh Tutus (Crawlers, 5 - 12 months): Let your baby make his/her mark on this performance. Dancers trace the babies’ trajectories; drawing inspiration from their movements to form mini duets.
- 11.30am - Here, There, Where? by The Kueh Tutus (4 - 8 years): A performance and a game, where the children decide where the dancers go and figure out what the dancers want, to get to the next level.
- 2.30pm - Thumpety Thump by Bounch and The Band (5 years and up): A fun and energetic percussive experience where kids get to try hand held instruments and jam with the band.
- 3.30pm - Bitesize Lil' Creatures (5 - 30 months): Explore, experiment and simply experience with musicians in spontaneous musical play! Each session features live musicians as they explore creating meaningful sounds with babies.
- 4.30pm - Shake It, Shake It, Move It! (3 - 7 years): Everybody loves to move! Children and adults dance and play together to a different theme each time. In this session, be like animals in the zoo!
29th July, Sunday
- 10.30am - BubblyBubs by art@homesg (3 years and up): What’s better than blowing and popping bubbles? Making art out of them! A fun activity that takes place at Good Garden if weather permits.
- 11.30am - Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Ltd. - Japanese Folktales (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity.
- 2.30pm - Cardboard City by Stan (Strictly Pre-walking babies): An exploration for pre-walking babies to inhabit and extend their spatial awareness amongst the everyday materials in this City designed just for them.
- 3.30pm - Tun Tun The Explorer by Joao Gouveia and Petra Vossenberg (4 - 8 years): An interactive dance performance combined with storytelling based on the short story ‘Tun Tun’, written by Joao Gouveia in 2016.
- 4.30pm - Arty Crafty Recycle | Upcycle - Sling Shot Toilet Rolls (4 years and up): A parent-accompanied craft session using recyclables inspired by fun and a whole lot of imagination. They have different activities each session.
