The 19th edition of the Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR) will be held on 9 November 2025 at the Singapore Sports Hub.
This year, the event features five public categories:
- 5km Individual (for ages 13 and up)
- 10km Individual (for ages 16 and up) (competitive)
- 21.1km Individual (for ages 18 and up) (competitive)
- 2km Mummy and Me (1 female adult aged 18 and above, with up to 3 girls aged 5 – 12)
- 100m Princess Dash (for girls aged 3 – 6)
There is also a competitive half-marathon for invited local female Elite runners. We are also excited to announce a new initiative that underscores Great Eastern's commitment to empowering young women. For the first time ever, the Great Eastern Women's Run 2025 will feature a dedicated 10km Tertiary Challenge. This groundbreaking category opens doors for female students from local polytechnics and universities to showcase their athletic prowess and competitive spirit. We believe in nurturing the next generation of women leaders, starting right here on the running track.
New This Year!
We are thrilled to introduce a new initiative that allows participants to personalise their race experience while making a meaningful impact. For a donation of just $15, you can now choose your own running bib number! This special opportunity lets you select a number that holds personal significance to you, while also supporting our beneficiaries—Daughters of Tomorrow and the Singapore Cancer Society.
Your $15 donation will contribute to our ambitious goal of raising $500,000 in 2025. This funding will empower Daughters of Tomorrow in their mission to provide skills training and employment opportunities for underprivileged women, while supporting Singapore Cancer Society in delivering vital services to cancer patients and their families.
As a token of our appreciation, donors will receive an exclusively designed running bib, symbolising their support for these worthy causes.
By participating in this initiative, you’re not just securing a memorable bib number; you’re making a real difference. Whether it's helping a woman achieve financial independence or supporting a cancer patient's recovery, your contribution truly matters. Join us in making your run count for something greater than yourself.
Beneficiaries
- Daughters Of Tomorrow
Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT) is a registered charity under the Charities Act of Singapore that supports women up to the bottom 20% of our socio-economic group back into employment. DOT complements and supports existing training and workforce-related agencies by connecting volunteers and community resources to enable each woman on an individual level. By deep-diving into the practical day-to-day constraints of lower-income women and offering hand-holding and individual coaching to help each woman reach regular and sustained employment.
DOT’s mission extends beyond employment bridging; we strive to enable upward social mobility for women from lower income families through upliftment of an individual’s agency. DOT’s holistic approach ensures that we address both the immediate and long-term needs of the families we serve, paving the way for a brighter and more prosperous future. DOT believes that sustainable employment is the cornerstone of financial independence. We lay the foundation for women to build a more secure financial future for themselves and their families and provide a pathway to long-term career growth.
- Singapore Cancer Society
Minimising Cancer and Maximising Lives since 1964, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded social service agency which provides an integrated continuum of care from cancer control and prevention to patient support services, survivorship, and palliative care.
