Pack a picnic basket as Spot Pocket Opera Theatre returns with its third annual Opera at Twilight at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage.
Opera at Twilight features local instrumentalists and classical vocalists such as sopranos Charmaine Tan, Evelyn Ang and tenor Jeremy Koh. This year’s concert will also feature young artists from the Broadrick Secondary School Modern Dance group.
In the hopes of breaking barriers to create opportunities for new audiences to discover classical music, SPOT will be presenting works from operas, musical theatre and films, such as the famous ‘Doll Aria’ from The Tales of Hoffmann, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ from Carousel and even a medley arrangement of ABBA’s top hits.
