A Time Immemorial Creative Workshop
- 17 Jul (Sat) | 2.30 – 5.30pm | Gallery Theatre, Basement Level | $30 per person or $50 per pair | Age 10 and up
A fun-filled afternoon of artistic expression beckons! First, experience a tour of the WAS I HERE art installation conducted by artist Francis Ng. Then, explore the concepts of presence, identity and space through taking Polaroid pictures and creating a 3D cast using plaster of Paris.

Participants are encouraged to bring a small 3D personal object (maximum size of 3cm x 3cm x 3cm) that signifies "home" to you, to create your plaster of Paris cast with.

Let’s Make Ketupat! – A Weaving Workshop

Singapore is home to people of many different races, each with their unique celebrations and customs as seen in photographs featured in our Home, Truly special exhibition. While you might be familiar with Hari Raya Puasa, did you know that similar customs are also adopted for Hari Raya Haji, such as the making and enjoying of ketupat?
Join us for this exciting hands-on workshop and learn the basic steps of making your own ketupat!

Songkok Haji Agil Storytelling

Join storyteller and bilingual author, Rilla Melati, in this 45-min English storytelling programme based on her latest children’s picture book. Follow the story of Songkok Haji Agil as he commemorates a very special Hari Raya!
Listen attentively to the story and participate in the pop quiz segment where children can stand a chance to win prizes. To complete this interactive experience, each pair of adult and child will work together to make their very own songkok and learn simple Malay phrases at the end of the session.
Each $13 ticket admits one child and one adult (parent or grandparent) only and includes a set of craft materials. Please purchase additional tickets (no additional materials provided) for any family members aged 2 years and above, at $5/person.
