Little Skoolz is proud to present our YOUNG AND BOSS (Entrepreneurship) for December 2021!

Our 5-day camp is jam packed with exciting activities and games to get your child to think deeply about and discover the world of Entrepreneurship through a series of carefully curated activities!

YOUNG AND BOSS (Entrepreneurship)

As Cameron Herold once said, “Let’s raise kids to be entrepreneurs.”
This program features hands-on activities that inspire Curiosity, Creativity, and Collaboration, while your child learns to think entrepreneurially, identify, and anticipate diverse societal needs and find a suitable solution to it. We seek to instil such mindset and skillset through these sessions and hope to see children embrace such values and become more confident and creative problem-solvers.

Day 1: Creativity

Creativity & Wacky Invention. Being playful and using imagination are considered as the cornerstones of creativity and idea generation. There is significant evidence that many ideas for new products and services were developed through playing around with ideas, materials and products. Play itself gives us a fresh perspective which is often critical in solving problems and being innovative.

Day 2: Introduction to Entrepreneurship

While traditional entrepreneurship education focuses around bringing resources together, setting up a company and making a profit, we build on that and aim to give children the opportunity to experience and develop an entrepreneurial thinking behaviour that will be valuable to them whichever career path they choose. They will better understand their own current mindsets and those of others, develop a deeper understanding of entrepreneurial skills and learn that failure happens to everyone... including themselves.

Day 3: Idea Generation

Most children will be familiar with the concept of brainstorming - where an individual or a group of people come up with as many new ideas as possible for a specific problem. Entrepreneurs in all fields use brainstorming techniques to create new product development, concept improvement and problem solving. In this part of the camp, your child will be encouraged to actively participate so that everyone's ideas are captured. They learn to recognise the benefits of building on other people's ideas while at the same time are given a chance to create more innovative ideas.

Day 4: Opportunity Analysis & Design Thinking

Opportunity Analysis is a part of Market Research. This is the process of gathering and analysing information about a product or service and its customers' needs and wants. The aim is to help children think critically on ways to improve their products or services to provide a better solution. Children will have a chance to test out their ideas to see whether it is workable.

Design Thinking is a process or approach to solving problems by understanding the target's needs and developing ideas and insights to solve those needs. To come up with a cutting-edge solution, children will go through the journey of Empathising, Defining, Ideating, Prototyping, Testing and Feedback.

Day 5: Business Model and Pitching

There is no one right way to structure a business model. It is worth noting that many businesses will need to change, evolve and adapt their model over time as different opportunities arise and conditions change. The goal is for the students to develop their understanding of different components in a business model and how each component affects each other etc.
