After captivating millions across the world in a diversity of cities such as London, Bilbao, Tokyo, Melbourne, Riyadh and Auckland, SPARK makes its Southeast Asian debut at Gardens by the Bay – transforming the Supertree Grove Lawn into a mesmerising spectacle designed to invoke feelings of interconnectedness between humans and nature.
This immersive light installation by internationally renowned Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde features thousands of silent, floating biodegradable light sparks that resemble fireflies. Through a combination of design and technology, the light sparks rise and fall on natural air currents in a mesmerising visual display.
SPARK is jointly organised by Gardens by the Bay and H&B, with art partner IMBA, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore. It is a celebration of 60 years of strong diplomatic ties between the Netherlands and Singapore. SPARK is supported by community partner Tote Board and GIC.
