Faber-Castell Art Festival 2019

Faber-Castell Art Festival 2019

Join us this school holiday at our annual Faber-Castell Art Festival!

Back by popular demand, this will be our third year running this Art Festival happening between 21 June to 30 June 2019! Visit us at Marina Square Central Atrium as we have fun with portraits drawn by renown artists, walk through a gallery of beautiful art pieces (for sale), enjoy a session of creative art workshops for kids and adults, and be inspired by the art pieces displayed at the various booths. This will be a memorable event for the young, teens, adults, and seniors, because, art is for all.

Art Festival 2019 Highlights

  • Art Exhibits and ‘Live’ Demonstrations

Visitors can feast their eyes on vibrant artworks on display and for sale plus live demonstrations by a line-up of more than 20 local and international artists. A key highlight includes a spectacular sculpture of Singapore’s iconic landmark - Marina Bay Sands made entirely with Faber-Castell’s connector pens by Indonesian artist, Muhamad Taufik. Keep an eye out for a new highlight this year – a stunning display of 119 soft pastels artworks made by more than 20 artists created in a symphony of colours that is sure to impress. There’s nothing quite like watching an artist at work. A selection of artists will be demonstrating their craft daily using mediums such as soft pastels, charcoal, fineliners and acrylic paint.

  • Hands-on Classes

Those who are keen to participate in art classes to pick up a new skill or two can choose from the 32 classes conducted by 20 visual artists specialising in various art forms such as painting, crafts, sketching, doodling, lettering, calligraphy, drawing etc. Due to the limited number of seats available per workshop, participants would have to register via eDMs or the events section on our Facebook page. Sign up for our workshops mailing list via our Facebook Page or email workshops@faber-castell.com.sg

  • Build your own Pen, Make your own Pin Badge or Magnetic Badge, Caricature for Charity

Free-and-easy activities await the entire family. Visitors can look forward to fringe-activities like assembling your own pens, designing your own magnetic badges, manga drawing and acrylic painting on stones by artists! What’s more, cartoonist and illustrator, Rizal from Faber-Castell Indonesia will be drawing caricatures for a fee. 50% of the proceeds raised from this will be donated to Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), which runs programmes like Pathlight School and Employability & Employment Centre for students and adults on the autism spectrum.

  • ‘Colour to Life’; AR Experience by Faber-Castell

Yet another star attraction at our art festival is the Faber-Castell ‘Colour to Life’ experience, which combines colouring with an Augmented Reality (AR) based application. ‘Colour to Life’ is packed with a set of colouring book, consisting of five different characters over 15 pages, and 20 Faber-Castell Connector Pens. After colouring the characters, the pages are scanned via an app which allows you to interact with it in 3D. You can take selfies and play games with your coloured creations!
