The traditional practice of natural plant remedies in Indonesia is known locally as Jamu.
Join Medicine Woman Asia Ajuntha Anwari on an immersive journey of Jamu - diving into the plant-based preparations of tonics that include the use of native roots, rhizomes, barks, leaves, seeds, fruit and flowers. Many culinary herbs are also used in the preparation of these tonics. It is an age-old practice to look to nature for holistic cures.
Start with a guided farm tour focused on medicinal plants, then enter the kitchen and collaboratively prepare fresh jamu tonics and teas, while enjoying other ready-made ones. You will also learn about the history and philosophy of Jamu, what type of jamu to use for the plethora of modern diseases and conditions, and where to procure reliable jamu.
This workshop is limited to 10 people and will adhere to safe distancing.
