East-Side Story is an original Cantonese musical. The story is about Hong Kong in the 40s before the World War II, when both British, mainland Chinese and Hong Kong people were all staying in this tiny city. The musical is written based on stories of landmarks like Taikoo Dockyard, Ritz Garden and Tanka fisherman, aiming to reveal spirit of old Hong Kong which makes the city prosperous in late 20th century.
This musical was recorded and broadcasted in 2021 with great applause. This time the performance goes live in concert version. Top singers in Hong Kong including Jordan Cheng, Christopher Ying, Ivy Hung, Vida Wu, Karl Lee, and 60 musicians from Ponte Orchestra will perform together, which is one of the biggest musical productions in Hong Kong.
