Our Young Artist Programme is one of the first Dubai based comprehensive art programme for ages 7 - 16 designed to mentor and guide our students to develop their creative thinking as well as their artistic skills.
Split in two sections, YAP Junior (ages 7-10) and YAP Senior (ages 11-16), our six-week modules is scheduled around the academic year, attendees observe a theme through which they will learn History, Theory and Practice of Art, and will be encouraged to grow confidence in critical and independent thinking.
All students will develop their own portfolio or work, using different techniques and materials, culminating to an exhibition on the 7th week.
In this module we will explore ideas about our society, how it influences us and how we influence it. We will use mixed media, collage, printing and installation to question contemporary ideas about society. Through this subject we will study the work of relevant artists and art movements and mentor students to develop their own ideas and artistic sensibilities.
YAP runs for two hours a week and students can choose to sign up for weekday or weekend sessions.
