This winter, The Courtyard Playhouse invites children across Dubai to embrace the joy of storytelling and performance with its much-loved Winter Camps.
Set in the theatre’s beautiful Al Quoz venue, these camps offer a creative and confidence-building experience for children of all ages — from playful Mini Storytellers to aspiring Young Performers.
Far more than just drama, each camp is designed to nurture essential life skills such as teamwork, empathy, resilience, and self-expression — all through the fun and wonder of theatre.
What’s On Offer This Winter
- Mini Storytellers (Ages 4–7) — Each week’s theme is inspired by heartwarming picture books such as Stick Man, The Snowflake and The Tree That’s Meant to Be. Through drama games, movement, and crafts, little ones bring these stories to life, guided by the Playhouse’s caring, experienced instructors. Every week ends with a joyful showcase for family and friends.
- Junior Actors (Ages 8–11) — A perfect blend of imagination and teamwork! Budding young performers will explore stories such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, learning to collaborate, build characters and perform with confidence on stage.
- Young Performers (Ages 12–14) — For teens ready to take their creativity further, these workshops delve into plays and stories such as The Play That Goes Wrong and Horrible Histories. With a focus on storytelling, movement, and expressive performance, it’s the perfect space for self-discovery and creative growth.
