Mission Discovery UAE 2019 @ Dubai British School Jumeirah Park

Dubai British School Jumeirah Park will be hosting the Mission Discovery Program from 7 to 11th April 2019.

This is a fabulous chance for students aged 14 to 18 to meet NASA experts, astronauts etc and to work on experiments. This is open to students in the UAE, not just Taaleem. At the end of the week, one of the experiments will be selected and send to the international space station! During this week, students will also work on their presentation skills, leadership skills, which will all build up their confidence.

Mission Discovery is an international programme, providing the opportunity for students to learn and work directly with astronauts, rocket scientists, and NASA leaders. During Mission Discovery's five-day programme, students spend time learning from our specialised team with the aim to design an experiment to be launched into space. The winning experiment will be performed aboard the International Space Station.

With assistance from astronauts, NASA personnel, scientists and engineers, students will learn about space and STEM through a variety of exhilarating hands-on activities based on themes such as:

  • NASA leadership and team building
  • How space exploration benefits life on Earth
  • Experiencing the environment of space
  • Looking at different kinds of experiment and what makes them great
  • How you succeed in your dreams and ambitions

Mission Discovery has been led by multiple Astronauts, including space hero and record-breaking Astronaut Michael Foale along with Astronaut Scott Kelly who recently returned from spending a year in space.

All enrolments and payments are online.
