Dubai Past Present is a showcase dedicated to promoting art education in the city!
The exhibition displays 40 pieces of work by children from schools across Dubai alongside established artists, both homegrown and international. Evident in the name, the show builds upon Dubai’s traditional past and cosmopolitan present, exploring a range of mediums from graphic design and painting to sculpture and installation.
The exhibition is the result of a partnership between Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The two work together to demonstrate the benefits and necessity of art education in schools and endeavour to embed it within the curriculum. The event is free for the public and offers an immersive art workshop every hour for audiences of all ages.
