The falcon was once associated with status and wealth and was a popular pastime for rulers, providing for the perfect setting for an event or gathering in the desert. To the Bedouins, the falcon was a perfect hunting weapon for their desert lifestyle. They adopted the practice of falconry to supplement their diet.
