Cranleigh UK opened its doors in 1865 with the purpose of providing the local Surrey community with a first class, all-round education. Now in our fourth year with a pupil population of over 1,100 spanning FS1 to Year 12, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is proud to have been named New British International School of the Year 2017 in the BIS Awards, as well as the leading school in Abu Dhabi and UAE runner-up in SchoolsCompared.com’s UAE Top Schools Award 2017. It was also shortlisted for International School of the Year in the Tes Independent Schools Awards 2018.

As the only school in Abu Dhabi to run an extended day, the schools pupils find they have the time opportunity to explore their full range of talents in fine arts, performing arts, music and sport. Cranleigh also runs a rich after school schedule which features activities such as gymnastics, parkour, golf, horse riding and debating to name but a few. The school's enrichment programme for pupils who like to be stretched beyond the standard academic curriculum includes extension within lessons, academic competitions including Model United Nations and World Scholars Cup as well as an annual research project which culminates in a Scholars’ Showcase.
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi sits at the entrance to Saadiyat’s emerging Cultural District in keeping with the school’s motto, ‘Ex Cultu Robur’ – ‘From Culture comes Strength’. Built over seven hectares, we have a beautiful, bespoke campus situated within minutes of New York University Abu Dhabi and the magnificent Saadiyat Beach, as well as the extraordinary Louvre Abu Dhabi.
